"TheBook" about the Twin Shock Models

Dear Valued Customer,

This time a year, I usually go on holiday too. So, between July 5 and July 27, I won't be available for business. During this time, no orders will be processed and there is no customer service available responding to your email.
Be assured that we will respond to all correspondance after our return. If you have not received a response by July 28, we must have had a technical issue. Please resend your message in that case, please.

Thank you very much for your understanding and have a great summer.

Best regards, Stephen Bottcher
OMEGA Electronics Ignitions

German Engineering at its best!

The OMEGA Electronic Ignition is as stand-alone electronic ignition system that comprises of a crankshaft-mounted sensor (with an integrated microprocessor that calculates, conditions and submits the ignition pulses to the coils using 16 selectable advance curves) and an ignition amplifier. It was designed for the 1-Cylinder and 2-Cylinder BMW motorcycles equipped with battery ignition and 6V/12V electrical systems with the aim of removing systematic errors and disadvantages of the points ignition, such as:

Many different coils have been used in Airheads from 1969 to 1996. The FAQ addresses that in detail.
So in layman's terms, what is the advantage of using the OMEGA Electronic Ignition: The OMEGA system can be further optimized in perfomance to achieve state of the art needs for combustion at least equal to and can be much superior to the existing stock systems in use. The Airhead points system can be improved by using the OMEGA in combination with the 1981 and later black twin Bosch coils of 0.6 ohms each and get a much stronger spark.
